• United Nations Global Compact:

MAPFRE Group is a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, which was created by the United Nations to encourage the business world to take a leadership role in sustainability and social responsibility.

• Equal Opportunity Model (FEM) Certificate

In 2018, MAPFRE Sigorta was audited by E&Y audit firm in terms of gender equality in areas such as recruitment, training, career planning, promotion, communication, policies and corporate advertisements, and was awarded the Equal Opportunity Model (FEM) Certificate by the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey (KAGİDER), which is given to companies that support gender equality and women’s empowerment in employment. MAPFRE Sigorta is the first insurance company in the Turkish insurance sector to receive this certificate.

• Equal Women at Work Certificate

As a result of the joint audit by KASİDER and the Sustainability Academy, MAPFRE Sigorta was awarded the Equal Women at Work Certificate in 2021, which can be obtained by organisations that offer equal rights and opportunities to women in business life if they meet certain criteria.

• United Nations Sustainable Development Goals

MAPFRE Sigorta supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals prepared by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015.

• Women’s Empowerment Principles

MAPFRE Sigorta is a signatory to the “Women’s Empowerment Principles” prepared by the United Nations Global Compact and UN Women to promote equal rights and opportunities for women in economic, social and political fields.
